Successful launch of Sentinel 3B

The second Sentinel-3 satellite, Sentinel-3B, was launched on 25 April, joining its identical twin Sentinel-3A in orbit.

Sentinel-3B is part of the Copernicus EO program, a project run by the European Commission with the aid of the ESA.

The mission is expected to begin routine operations after 5 months. (ESA News).
